Two-Faces & Blind Eyes: Israel & Palestine Issue

How are you, everyone? Based on the current world events, the question kind of feels very wrong. If you support Palestine, and Israel or don't support any of them - you're still facing the effect this problem is having all over the world. So, generally, you ask - "Why even start this?" Well, everyone is asking this question. I won't write the history of it, since you can just get it on Wikipedia. But I want to talk about those people who are in the middle of this problem. They're not Hamas, and they're not Israelis - these people in the middle are innocent civilians.
Before starting, I want to apologize for getting any facts wrong though it has become common for media like CNN or the BBC. Anyway, I have attempted to add references for fact-checking (more in chapter 7) and getting different perspectives of one issue. So, alternative links are provided for more perspectives, and if you want to look for more google the issues (!).

Chapter 1: Name of the article

"Two-Faces & Blind Eyes" - why is this the article's name. We know what Two-Face means, there's even a Batman villain who's called Two-Face. But what exactly do we mean by Two-Face. In a direct tone, Two-Face means hypocrite. It also means having a double standard.
Blind Eye is a phrase we use. Like if a sibling does anything naughty they tell their brother or sister to "turn a blind eye" and not report it to their parents. This means that you know it's happening but you don't acknowledge it.
If we want two phrases to describe the powerful portion of the world regarding the Israel-Palestine issue, it's either Two-Facing, Blind Eye, or both. That's the reason for naming this article - "Two-Faces & Blind Eyes"

Chapter 2: A Bit of a Background

It'd not be suitable for the article if I didn't add a bit of context to what I am going to say in the next chapters. Israel-Palestine issue has been introduced previously. It has been going on for years now.
The main perpetrator of this conflict is actually not any of them. It's the result of irresponsible decisions by colonizers. Britain ruled Palestine before World War II. With Jewish people entering Palestine, Britain decided to draw a line meaning partition (since they didn't know a lot of other ways than this). After World War II, Jewish people fled Europe after the horrifying killing of Jewish people by Hitler. With several elites promising Palestine as a Jewish homeland, Jewish people started entering Palestine.
What happened is, that after being tired of fighting in World War II, Britain asked the UN to do something about it and left Palestine. Inside this whole quick history, a lot of details are missing. Like how the residents of Palestine weren't asked what they wanted to do with their country.
What happened is over the years, extremists and power-grabbing elites decided to establish dominance in this region. They lobbied for help from European and American countries. They occupied territories breaking international laws. They raided and killed native Palestinians continuously. They made a wall that wasn't supposed to be there. They even extended the wall into territories outside of their jurisdiction according to international law.
All these tensions culminated in several conflicts over the years making this zone a hugely important diplomatic region for many countries.

Chapter 3: A few weeks ago

A few weeks ago something happened. I can't tell whose side is at fault here. But here's what you should know.
Israel had intensified raids against Palestinians including obstacles in performing religious activities for Muslims. These raids caused civilian casualties. For a simplified form of understanding, if a person beats you every hour confining you in a room and giving you one bread a day - he decides to intensify this by beating you ten times every hour. Still, it's much worse than that.
What happened is Hamas fired rockets, entered Israel, grabbed some Israelis, and then took them hostage somewhere. Then Israel answered by raining down rockets and bombs continuously on Gaza. Many civilians died including women and children.
Gaza is one of the most densely populated regions in the world. So, showering the whole area with bombs justifying the fact that they need to get rid of Hamas is utterly horrifying. And the most heart-wrenching thing we saw is that the world stood by and watched.

Chapter 4: West & Ukraine

When Ukraine announced that it would join NATO, Russia became like the ex-partner who after getting a divorce is still jealous. Russia's invasion started against Ukraine. Killing and bombing residential areas continued. The West (US, UK, Germany, and others) voiced their opinion that what Russia is doing is very much wrong. The West also barked at Russia for killing civilians - women and children. You can search on Google and find out many many statements by Western leaders regarding this.
The West also provided financial and military aid to Ukraine. The US sends more than a hundred billion dollars of aid and recently using emergency protocol, sent more money. The West is continuously providing support for Ukraine still.
The question comes, why is the West very much silent about the killing of women and children in Gaza? Are they blind?

Chapter 5: Blindness of the West

Is the West blind? The answer is no. If we look at the news Ireland and some Western countries showed their support against the genocide committed by the IDF. People are gathering in the cities to show support for the people of Gaza. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were also asked about it, and Joe Biden gave the half-wake-half-sleep answer that he's been giving from the start.
Joe Biden recently did the only thing that came near to opposing a certain side of Israel's military approach. He said that the right or conservative idealism of Benjamin Netanyahu was diminishing Israel's support around the world. It is like saying a dictator who has a conservative view about making his country the world power it was before invading a land that isn't his - remind you of someone?
Yes, I know who's the guy who's obsessed with returning to their glory days when all were red. Vladimir Putin didn't want his grand ambition of becoming the world power that the Soviet Union was before threatened by his neighbor next door. So, he decided to invade Ukraine.
When it came to showing full support for Ukraine against Russia, the West became united under one rule - Russia BAD, and Ukraine GOOD. They also condemned Russia's attack on Ukranians killing civilians. But where they not condemning the killing of civilians in Gaza by Israel?
Israel killed more human beings in Gaza than the US did in Afghanistan after staying there for years. Israel killed more civilians in Gaza than Russia killed in Ukraine. The US and its allies aren't only turning a blind eye, they're providing financial aid to the butchers.

Chapter 6: UN resolutions

There were many resolutions recently to instigate a ceasefire in Gaza and let humanitarian aid to Gaza. In the recent UN Security Council, the US was the only one who vetoed the ceasefire. Recently 153 countries supported a ceasefire, but the US just stopped the whole motion.
By this resolution nobody was asking the US to provide financial or humanitarian aid to Gaza, the resolution was only about the US to let in that aid. They still stopped it. This huge support for this ceasefire was really showing what the world wanted, and still US went against it.
The UN should be a platform that is for the betterment of the world. So, when 153 members out of 193 members side with one thing, the UN should allow that - a vote of the majority. So, why should the US or any other permanent members act like a dictator and just allow something for themselves? Shouldn't the UN be representative of the world? So, why should the US be the one to decide what's good for the world.
Over the years the US has taken on the role of a person who interferes in other's business when no one wants them to. If the US is the leader of the free world, why would the US just attack and occupy territories just to get rich? It's not like the US has always been true to the UN. The US lied to the UN about WMD found in Iraq and just went there and started killing people just to get rich. After all these years US didn't answer for this crime.
The US kept up with their long-time tradition of interfering in business when nobody wanted them there. The Vietnam War is one such example. It has become so ruthless in maintaining the status of a world power, that it sent its own sons and daughters to the field to die. The oath they took was to protect their motherland, not die for a cause that made the US politicians and rich fatter with money and power.
The US is still doing this and not stopping at any time. Perhaps we need the US to establish peace in regions since it has the power to do so, but shouldn't there be a line that no country should cross? But what history has proved is the US always deploys its soldiers when it feels threatened and when the rich establishment wants more money.
Think about it this way, do you so a lot of rich people out there who spend a chunk of their own money to make others rich? Not a lot, since most of these folks are engrossed with increasing their wealth. All those philanthropies that happen in big hotels are just a way to show off that they have wealth and to keep up their public image. They could've just spent the expense of the gala on the cause.
Anyway, I am going out of context with every paragraph as more problems of our seemingly perfect society are flaring up before my eyes. The main point is, that the US and other permanent members shouldn't have an autocratic hold in major and important matters just because that motion isn't profiting them.

Chapter 7: The news & the views

CNN, BBC, and many other news agencies - we all believed them since they have helped build up that image. BBC's impartial reporting in many matters has helped make it a credible source of information and news. But what if these famous news providers become some big propaganda and misinformation machines?
Why'd BBC, CNN, or any big news agencies allow misinformation in their reporting? I will come to that a bit later. But the most important question here is who should we trust then for vital and accurate information and news? This is what makes me afraid. In this age of information learning about the correct information is vital - shouldn't there be a credible source on which we can trust.
Let's answer the above questions one by one.
  • Who we can TRUST? - We need to trust some sources to get the correct information in this world where information is very very important. With the introduction of social media, we were filled with a sea of sources of information. But with this misinformation got a rise too. When we don't believe or trust something on social media we look towards the mainstream news sites like BBC or CNN for the correct information. But when even they betray our trust we have to do something. The only solution is Perspective and Accuracy. When you find news first search for its credibility, don't bind yourself to one perspective. For example, on an issue, two parties give different views, and so the media are influenced by biased views (like Fox is a conservative news media). Next, do your own research on the news and see what part(s) of the views are accurate and what part(s) are just biased. This is the only way now.
  • Why mainstream agencies are allowing MISINFORMATION? - There's an easy answer. I have already said something about it. Like on one issue, there are different perspectives from different sources. For example, since the Murdoch family controls Fox they wouldn't want any reporting if they did anything wrong. Another example could be that Fox News wouldn't allow liberal views since they're a conservative media. (I am talking about Fox since a lot of people know about it for this kind of thing.) The other possible explanation is that these media are lobbied by powerful people including rich people. Essentially what I am trying to say is, that the rich and the powerful can and are controlling the information flow.
Recently, the BBC faced criticism from its staff including reporters for its biased reports regarding Israel's war on Gaza. The biased reporting includes cutting out bits of an interview or speech to manipulate the public's view. CNN also did this with their reports. The mainstream media are also turning a blind eye to the massacre done by the Israeli military. This kind of biased news is harming the public's belief in the mainstream information channels. Israel is spreading propaganda and wrong information and many experts on social media are catching them red-handed. The mainstream media is silent about it. However, I have to say that some mainstream media are allowing accurate information flow. Still, Perspective and Accuracy are the only way to really know what's happening.

Chapter 8: Social media

Social media has been playing a huge role in the people to get information without the censorship and filtered news provided by the mainstream media. It has been an ocean for both accuracy and misinformation. You cannot know which one you're watching until you can verify it. Israel has been using this disadvantage to their own advantage.
There are four things right now that you should be aware of regarding social media -
  • Making propaganda: The Israeli military often posts many videos and photos that according to them show that the hospitals they bombed are places where Hamas has set up a base. They posted many such videos trying to turn the public view of Hamas as the villain that resides in every corner of Gaza even when logically most of the people couldn't be Hamas. Experts and users on social media have quickly pointed out that those "proofs" and "pieces of evidence" are fake or fabricated. So, the verification of news is also necessary on social media when Israel is easily using social media as one of their propaganda machines.
  • Calling propaganda: Israel has also tried to call many on-the-ground videos and images of the suffering of the people of Gaza "fake" or "fabricated". These are part of their aforementioned propaganda which the experts and users on social media point out. The way they are trying to make the death and suffering of women and children is just disgusting.
  • Unintentional admission: Israeli officials have often unknowingly admitted to the genocide on social media. This was mistaken as quickly as when the public pointed out the truth, the officials deleted the statement from their social handles. These unintentionally published posts show how Israel also knows that they're committing crimes in Gaza.
  • Choking of the truth: Social media giants are also controlled by the rich. Though Meta-owned Facebook and Instagram are under shareholders' control, X (formerly Twitter) is controlled privately by Elon Musk. Either way, the rich people are controlling these platforms and they're also exercising their control by sometimes directly or indirectly choking truth. These sites have often removed social media posts that provide valuable insight into Israel's crimes. This threatens the only unfiltered and uncensored source of information for the people at present.

Chapter 9: Dehumanizing humans

While also admitting to committing acts of genocide, Israeli top officials have openly made dehumanizing statements about the people in Gaza. These top officials have called the helpless people of Gaza animals trying to justify their massacre (It's even a crime to massacre animals!). These words show how Israel thinks of other Palestinians and Arabs in general. Israel considers Palestine as a piece of land that was uncivilized until the Jewish state of Israel was established. This dehumanizing claim is also supported by EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has also made the same statement saying "You have made the desert bloom".
These racial statements are an example of how the colonizers treated their colonies. It shows how the colonizers made humans slaves for a long time. These statements illuminate light on the true color the Israeli leaders have regarding Palestinians. The feeble and disgusting attempt to justify murdering babies and innocent civilians is horrifying. Israel is also giving the people of Gaza slow and agonizing death and pain by choking them on food, electricity, water, medicine, and other essential supplies including humanitarian aid.
"Why is Israel doing this?" - this is not the question we should be asking. The question we should understand is, "How has Israel continued to do these despite them being war crimes as per the Geneva Convention?" The answer is very simple, the US and many Western powers have aided and abetted these war crimes according to international law by providing unconditional support and financial aid. military aid.
Breaking the international law isn't a small thing. Shouldn't the powers who made such laws happen to follow the law and help implement the law? But the wider West is allowing Israel to do this without any repercussions or stopping. They're even sending weapons and money to do this. In a logical sense and in any crime drama, according to the law, we know that both the criminal and the person who aided them in some way are charged with punishments. Should Israel and the powers aiding them be facing judgment? What I can tell is - NO, since the West practically controls the international organizations that should be the platform where we can have justice. Like any resolution on the UN Security Council can be vetoed by the US very easily. For example, we haven't seen any judgment for the Vietnam War, the death of many people in Iraq, or the colonizers who shackled human beings.

Chapter 10: Conclusion (& my note)

I have tried to touch on some important parts of this conflict between Israel and Palestine. Still, many issues are missing here. What I have shown here are the things that need to be solved for a solution regarding this problem - but these solutions only provide a temporary answer to what the world should do in these hard times. To solve the conflict between Israel and Palestine we have to go back many many years. We have to look through the history of how this conflict started in the first place and start from there. I am not talking about the shaded history that is biased, I am talking about the actual history that happened.
Israel-Palestine conflict cannot be solved when the powers and neighboring countries are engrossed in their own profits. They only side with those facts and resolutions that benefit them. This selfish motivation and act has allowed this disease to fester and transform into this monster. The status-quo decision has just allowed the problem to gain weight which may take them down with them. What they're doing is delaying the inevitable. A permanent solution to this problem should be explored and accepted by the world, or the problem will take away more lives.
In this article, I have tried to shed light on different points. The attempt has not been on one day. So, for chapters 1-4, you may have found a bit of inconsistency with the current events though it wasn't intended. This was because I had written those chapters earlier. And there could also be several mistakes I have made in the whole article, which I apologize for.
I am by no way an expert in this subject. I am just a concerned human being in this world who cares about human beings. I am also a person who doesn't condone the injustice and the impartiality of the world. I want to scream sometimes over the loud words and say them to stop and think about what they're doing. I want them to think of other people as not enemies or "animals" to be slaughtered but as humans who are not Good or Bad, they're also humans.
Thank you for reading this article and understanding what I am trying to say. These problems are real and they're not going to go away if we ignore them. And another thing - the 'updates' section below is for things that I remember now but forgot to mention in the article.

Updates

Here are the updates that I couldn't put in the main article, and the parts I didn't remember.
  • Many corporations have openly shown their support for Israel. Starbucks, Walmart, Google, etc. have supported the killing of people in Gaza. Visit here for the full list and reasons.

2024: Let's Not Repeat 2023

Happy New Year , everyone. 2024 has come. But the thing that we should not be doing is repeating 2023, and making sure humanity can do better in the future. 2023 - a year of many unexpected events around the world. Wars and disputes have plagued our minds and many conflicts have stopped humanity from advancement. You have probably seen videos saying many bad things happened, but let's be optimistic about the good ones and hope for a better year. Let me be frank, if you see globally, it's filled with more bad things than good things.  Being optimistic is good. It means that though a lot of bad things happen, you're staying positive. But the problem is if you only just stay positive  and do nothing else to improve your next steps. So, the question we should be asking is what are we actually planning to do for 2024. What happened in 2023 happened. Since it's impossible to time travel, we can't go back and fix all our problems. The only way is to make sure whatever deci

What’s Their Goal?

As the world witnesses more and more conflicts, the situation worsens. As one conflict deflates another inflates in soon causing severe distress. Should that be happening with the world at a time when humans have the power to make their own species extinct? Should things be unstable when there are concerning platforms about those problems? The answers are very clear to everybody, but it’s not working as it’s supposed to. Recent events, like Russia-Ukraine, have made everything more uncertain. Added to that is the economic inclination that makes the situation much worse. In the new article on Imancipation, I want to present what the causes of this unstable situation are and how to stop it. I am not an expert on these, but I intend to make people aware of the present situation being a concerned citizen of the present world. Before starting, let me tell you something. You may not like what I have to say about the world. You may think my logic is wrong, but believe me – with the way
